한글? 라틴?
Hangeul + Latin!

2023
As a Korean American immigrant both fluent in Korean and English, I created a series of projects that incorporate both languages and cultures.

Deliverables:

- Thesis Book
- Workshop
- Workshop Documentation Book
- Exhibition

Thesis Book

6.7in x 10.2in

Workshop

8.5in x 11in
Through this workshop, I wanted people to become more familiar with Korean and learn how tools can affect the form in typography.

Workshop documentation book

7in x 10in
This book serves to record and document the Korean Tools to Type workshop. All the letterforms that were created in the workshop were scanned and inserted.

Exhibition

Photographs by Ruofei Shang
At the 2023 BFA Graphic Design Thesis Show, “Lived In,” my space was decorated with the letters and tools that were used in the workshop. I also created blank spots in the wall for people to create their own letterform designs and hang up on the wall.

Korean + Latin Type Exploration

2023
Some quick projects designed in Senior Graphic Design Studio to further understand the typographic rules of Korean and Latin.

5.25in x 8in

Thoughts on Thesis

2022

A 218 page publication to record my potential ideas for my senior thesis.
